MK Mansour Abbas, chairman of the Ra'am party, expressed deep shock over the video which shows the atrocities committed by Hamas during its October 7 terrorist attack on Israel.

Speaking in an interview with the Arabic-language Nasradio, Abbas said that 99 percent of the video shows the murder of innocent civilians, such as a father jumping on a hand grenade that was thrown at his family in order to save his two children, as well as the brutal murder of foreign workers.

Abbas noted that the video is difficult to watch and is against the religion of Islam and human values, adding it "does not reflect Arab society, the Palestinian people and the Islamic nation."

Commenting on his demand that Ra’am MK Iman Khatib-Yasin resign from the Knesset, after she denied the horrors of the October 7 massacre, Abbas said the demand was intended to protect her and Arab society in view of the outrage caused by her statements.

"The move is intended to curb the attempt by the Likud and the right-wing parties to oust her from the Knesset, since such a move, if it were to materialize, could harm Arab representation in the Knesset and the civil rights of Israeli Arabs," he added.

Abbas also said that the Arab leadership needs to improve its ways of acting and its discourse, stressing that the situation today is different that it was in the past.
