The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem has announced that Ambassador Tom Nides will travel to Washington, D.C. on July 14th to take part in the official visit of Israeli President Isaac Herzog to the United States.

Ambassador Nides will accompany President Herzog in his meetings with senior U.S. government officials, including President Joseph R. Biden and Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken.

Ambassador Nides will also participate in the Israeli President’s program on Capitol Hill.

On July 21st, upon conclusion of President Herzog’s trip, Ambassador Nides will transfer his authority as U.S. Ambassador to Israel to current Deputy Chief of Mission Stephanie L. Hallett, who will become Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem.
