National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir (Otzma Yehudit) has canceled the participation of Fauda actor Hisham Suliman in a conference following Suliman's legitimization of harming IDF soldiers.
Ben Gvir has canceled the appearance of Suliman, who is known for the role he played in the "Fauda" series, in a Tuesday morning conference the National Security Ministry organized for Arab authorities in northern Israel, due to Suliman's previous statements legitimizing attacks on IDF soldiers.
In a past interview, Suliman was quoted as supporting attacks on IDF soldiers in Judea and Samaria: "They have a right to fight and oppose the occupation...a soldier who is in the [West] Bank and someone attacks him - I do not think that is a terror attack."
"Whoever gives legitimacy to harming IDF soldiers and is not loyal to the State of Israel absolutely cannot receive payment from the State of Israel and perform at National Security Ministry events," Ben Gvir said. "Not under my watch."
