A missile was fired towards Israel from southern Lebanon on Thursday morning, reports said.

The IDF has clarified that no launch has been identified, but the reports are under investigation.

Meanwhile, three security sources told Reuters that at least one missile was fired towards Israel from southern Lebanon. At the same time, Lebanese media are reporting that a rocket was launched towards Israel from southern Lebanon, Israel Hayom noted.

A journalist for the Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Manar on Thursday morning reported that there were two explosions in the Ghajar area, near the Lebanon-Israel border, and that it is not clear what caused the explosions.

Israel Hayom added that the IDF has claimed that there is no knowledge of a launch, but that the reports are being investigated.

"From an IDF investigation, [it seems] there is no incident in Israeli territory," an IDF spokesman clarified shortly afterwards. "This was an explosion which occurred on the other side of the border fence, near Ghajar. The details are being investigated."
