Several dozen anti-government demonstrators held a protest this morning (Wednesday) in front of the Har Hamor yeshiva in Jerusalem, claiming that it promotes the same values as those represented by senior government members.

"We came to Rabbi Tao's Har Hamor yeshiva because it symbolizes the messianic and dangerous flow of the current government, which can in turn lead to a coup d'état. The messianic vision is alarming and terrifying, and includes a Jewish halakhic state based on Jewish supremacy," they were quoted as saying.

They further mendaciously claimed that, "This Jewish state will offer no rights for women, LGBTQ individuals and other minorities."

They said it would include the "annexation of the 'West Bank' and apartheid perpetrated by Rabbi Tau and his students Rabbi Levinstein, Sadan, Kashtiel, Kellner, Shapira and others."

The protest leaders referred to these rabbis as the "spiritual leaders" of right wing MKs Smotrich, Ben-Gvir, Strock, Noam Party chairman Avi Maoz, Nissim Vaturi, Avraham Buaron of the Likud and other coalition members "leading the coup."

"We can't let that happen," they said. "There will be no halakhic state. There will be no messianic state. Israel will remain free."
