The police arrested a man in his 30s after he broke into the building of the Hesder Yeshiva in Acre. Later, he was brought to a hearing at the Haifa Magistrate's Court, where his detention was extended.
The suspect, a resident of Ma'alot, was apprehended by police detectives who arrived in the area for proactive anti-theft activity.
In another case, the police arrested a homeless woman in the area in her forties after she was seen in a car with property she had stolen from the car.
The police say that the two events that took place last weekend came as part of an operation by the Acre police department.
