Foreign Minister Eli Cohen revealed in an interview with Reshet Bet radio on Thursday that he will soon meet with representatives of two Muslim countries that have no diplomatic relations with the State of Israel.

Cohen also stated that there is now a window of opportunity to promote normalization with Saudi Arabia.

During the interview, Cohen said that when he took office about six months ago, he set himself the goal of bringing "groundbreaking achievements". During his tenure, he noted, the crisis with Poland ended, a trade agreement was signed with the United Arab Emirates and the infrastructure was laid for a peace agreement with Sudan.

Cohen also said that he is promoting four main goals: Increasing ties with new countries, normalization agreements, opening new embassies and continuing the economic strengthening of Israel in the world.

The Foreign Minister said that he estimates that, by the end of the year, the number of countries that have opened embassies in Jerusalem will double.
