The Prime Minister's Office published today (Sunday) an update to the multi-year national plan for infrastructure development - "Infrastructure for Growth 2023". The plan includes 228 infrastructure projects with a total cost of NIS 433 billion.

The program coordinates the infrastructure projects that are promoted by the government ministries. The cost of their establishment is over NIS 100 million, and their construction has actually begun or will begin between the years 2023-2027 (the projects that appear in the publication are projects that are already certain to be funded.)

The publication of the plan is an expression of the government's extensive efforts in the fields of infrastructure and increasing labor productivity, recognizing that they are a key growth lever for the economy and a means to reduce disparities.

Director General of the Prime Minister's Office Yossi Sheli commented: "Infrastructure development is one of the most important and central generators of economic growth for the Israeli economy. A broad investment in infrastructure is necessary to increase labor productivity in the Israeli economy, to maximize the economic potential of the State of Israel, and to strengthen both its economic and political power."
