מתנגדי הרפורמה מפגינים מול מנכ"ל משרד ירושליםיוסי גולדברג

Over the past few days, with Israeli lawmakers and officials in New York City for the Celebrate Israel Parade and the Arutz Sheva Jerusalem Conference, the city streets have been full of activists demonstrating the Israeli government's judicial reform plan.

One of the Israeli officials to meet said protesters was Ministry of Heritage CEO Netanal Izak. As Izak passed a group of protesters in Manhattan, they surrounded him and shouted "shame," which has become the one-word battle cry of the movement.

Only the protesters did not seem to know who they were protesting. In a video of the incident, one of the demonstrators can be heard announcing: "Guys, it's the Minister of Religion." As mentioned, Izak is not a minister, nor does he work for the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Seemingly assuming Izak was the Minister of Religious Affairs and that one in such a position did not serve in the IDF, one of the demonstrators approached the CEO and asked, "Where did you serve?" Izak answered, "Where did I serve? I'm a wounded veteran, I was injured in Shuja'iyya (in the Gaza Strip), where did you serve?" To which the protester replied in only expletives.
