Elon Musk took to twitter to call Soros a misanthrope. “Soros reminds me of Magneto,” he tweeted, comparing him to a comic book character named Magneto from Marvel’s X-Men series. For good measure Musk later added another touch to the portrait. “He wants to erode the very fabric of civilization. Soros hates humanity.”
So what? I too compared the humungous Hungarian to a comic strip character.

Enter the many ‘antisemitism’ criers who do it for a living, forefingers tapping the red button. Jonathan Greenblatt of the ADL vied with President Biden’s appointee, Deborah Lipstadt flaunting her title, “Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism”. Doing their paid duty they hit the red button. Elon Musk had launched an ad hominem attack on George Soros the Holocaust survivor, by dint of which he belongs to a protected species. Deborah Lipstadt made her paid-for outcry.
“Irrespective of how one feels about Soros’s politics or policies, it is entirely disingenuous to deny that many ad hominem attacks on him rely on classic antisemitic tropes and rhetoric. In bygone eras the antisemites invoked the Rothschild family to advance their conspiracies about Jews. Today they use Soros to do so.”
We may ask some obvious questions about Lipstadt’s all-too common statement.
# 1 What definition of antisemitism did she, as Biden’s Special Envoy, apply to implicate Musk?
# 2 “Antisemites in bygone eras invoked the Rothschild family”: Is that a fair comparison with Elon Musk attacking Soros?
# 3 Before Musk used the Magneto character was it really used by antisemites to “advance their conspiracies about Jews?”
#4 “Ad hominem attacks on Soros “rely on classic antisemitic tropes and rhetoric”. How can it be that a practicing Jew like broadcaster and Prager U founder, Dennis Prager (author of the book, “Why the Jews?”) called Soros a despicable human being and the most destructive Jew in the world? Frankly ad hominem, the attack according to Lipstadt’s yardstick, must be an antisemitic trope making Prager, a powerful Israel-advocate, a bigot. Sound awry?
# 5 How can Musk, who is “admired by the Israeli government and the vast majority of Israeli citizens as a role model” possibly be antisemitic? (Diaspora Minister Amichai Chikli: “As Israel’s minister who is entrusted with combating antisemitism, I would like to clarify that the Israeli government and the vast majority of Israeli citizens see Elon Musk as an amazing entrepreneur and a role model.”
# 6 Did Lipstadt make an equal outcry, or one at all, over Democrat anti-Semites in The Squad or BLM or campus activists all of whom completely tick the EU definition’s boxes? Which are:
The European Union Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC) lays down five criteria to pick out anti-Semites from genuine critics of Israel.
- Denial of the right of Jewish people to self-determination
- Applying double standards by requiring of Israel a behaviour not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation
- Applying symbols and images connected with classic anti-Semitism to characterize Jews or Israelis
- Drawing a comparison of Israeli policy to that of the Nazis
- Holding Jews collectively responsible for actions of the State of Israel.
More than the Rothschild family could do in bygone eras, Soros can allocate funds, buy alliances, educate disciples and trouble every corner of America and Europe with his dogmatic and daft conception of countries with open borders.
That’s a mere snippet of his nihilistic program. The man’s a powerful villain of the peace. He bankrolls crime waves and election rigging and, not least, the global high reward industry devoted to making Israel the world’s pariah. Overall Soros is an adventure capitalist; his returns on capital are earned from a grand experimentation on the way the world is ordered.

Iran is held to be Israel’s enemy # 1. That’s true of armed conflict. In political conflict, no government has done more to damage Israel’s standing in the world than one man, Soros has done through his well-paid proxies posing as watchdogs of human rights. All are antisemitic in their end goal of turning Israel into a vulnerable prey for the circling wolf pack. That’s ultimately his doing.
Actions speak louder and clearer than mock pushback by the likes of ADL’s Greenblatt or Biden’s Lipstadt. In concocted and concerted attacks on Elon Musk for goading antisemitic conspiracy mongers to a frenzy the pair create a nice riddle. What in the world could “antisemite” Musk hope to gain by attacking fellow antisemite Soros?
