Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis teased the expected launch of her husband's presidential campaign overnight.
Mrs. DeSantis first tweeted a link to an article reporting on the likely announcement Wednesday by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for a presidential bid, writing: "Big if true..," followed by a smiley face emoji.
Hours later, she tweeted a video hinting at Governor DeSantis' imminent launch of his presidential campaign.
"America is worth the fight... Every. Single. Time," she wrote.
The Florida governor is expected to formally announce his bid for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination during a live conversation Wednesday night with Twitter owner Elon Musk.
Musk confirmed the report during an interview with The Wall Street Journal Tuesday.
“I will be interviewing Ron DeSantis, and he has quite an announcement to make. And it will be the first time that something like this is happening on social media and with real-time questions and answers, unscripted,” Musk said, adding that he was not planning to endorse a candidate “at this time.”
