Attempted attack against Jews in the Kfar Hashiloach (Silwan) neighborhood in eastern Jerusalem: A number of Arab suspects threw rocks and firebombs at a security vehicle that was driving through the neighborhood on Tuesday evening.
At one point, several of the Arabs tried to open the door of the vehicle while holding a firebomb, with the intention of throwing it into the vehicle at short range.
Border Police officers who were operating in the vehicle in a covert operation fired at one of the suspects, hitting him, and his friends fled the scene.
At the end of a short pursuit, the suspect who was shot was arrested. The pursuit of the other suspects continues.
