The rain which began over the weekend is expected to continue during the first two days of this week and strengthen Monday.

Sporadic rain is expected Sunday morning, accompanied by isolated thunderstorms in the north and along the coastal plain, where there is concern over possible flooding. The rain is expected to weaken during the afternoon hours.

On Monday, the rain will return in the afternoon, accompanied by isolated thunderstorms in most of the country. There is concern over possible flooding in the streams of the Judean Desert and the Dead Sea.

Tuesday will be clear to partly cloudy. There will be a slight increase in temperatures. On Wednesday it will be mostly clear and temperatures will rise slightly again.

Significant amounts of rain fell over the weekend in some areas of the country. Rosh Hanikra saw the amount of rain with 90 mm, 66 mm fell in Zichron Yaakov, 63 mm in Haifa, 52 in Hadera, 34 in Afula, 29 in Safed, 23 in Tel Aviv and 21 mm of rain fell in Ra'anana
