Likud Ministers Haim Katz and Miki Zohar are expected to withdraw their letters of resignation from the Knesset for the second time on Friday, Galei Tzahal (IDF Radio) reported on Thursday.

The two had planned to resign from the Knesset in accordance with the so-called “Norwegian Law”, which permits ministers to resign from the Knesset in order to allow the next person on their party’s slate to enter the Knesset.

However, the two will withdraw their letters as no third minister has been found who is willing to resign from the Knesset in order to allow former MK Etty Atia, who is close to Minister Katz, to enter the Knesset.

According to Thursday’s report, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Katz and Zohar that if they submitted letters of resignation from the Knesset again, he would find a third minister to resign, but this was unsuccessful.

Sources close to Haim Katz and Miki Zohar told Israel National News that a final decision has not yet been made regarding the withdrawal of the resignation letters and it will be made tomorrow.

A Likud official added, "Netanyahu is living in a dream world. He talks about bringing in ten MKs through the Norwegian Law, but so far he has been unable to replace even three."
