Why Bloomberg's candidacy is bad for Jews
Why Bloomberg's candidacy is bad for Jews

Don’t be fooled. .President Donald J.Trump is the only choice for Jews of any and all policies.

If something works, don’t try and redesign it.  There’s nothing to fix. For Jews around the world, President Donald J. Trump has been the best sitting commander-in-chief ever for Israel and for fighting anti-Semitism around the world.

How are you going to repair something that is as good as it is ever going to get?  Not with Michael Bloomberg.

Michael Bloomberg intends to spend a fortune to achieve election as a Democrat the same way he was able to get an unprecedented third term as mayor of New York as a Republican.

Doesn’t he realize the Democrats are not interested in Jewish millionaire men in their seventies to run the country and lead their party?  My prediction is that he won’t be the nominee. He won’t even be the runner up. The Democrats will go into a brokered convention with anti-Israel agendas a common thread in multiple Doesn’t he realize the Democrats are not interested in Jewish millionaire men in their seventies to run the country and lead their party?

But what will his efforts do?  Weaken the Jewish voice in both parties.

Bloomberg has supported Jewish causes, led the Israel Day Parade and won the Genesis Award.  He spoke out against pro-BDS guest speakers at Brooklyn College in 2013. There are questions as to whether or not he supported the Iran Nuclear Deal and on his stands on other Israeli policies.  He has never denied his Judaism. Will it work for or against him this time?

Starting last year, I received contacts from several New York political “know-it-alls” who asked me if I would help Michael Bloomberg when he decides to declare that he is running. It was as if they already knew. I asked them, “Aren’t you on campaigns that claim to be supporting President Trump?” They claimed they were. Perhaps that needs to be exposed.

I asked them what Bloomberg did well for New York?  Their answers often compared him to the failures of the current mayor, Bill DeBlasio.

True or not, that’s not an answer.

Then there’s another comparison:  He’s better than “The Gang” and their voices.   Is this logical reasoning? This is what they say:

“Bloomberg is not the be everything that everyone wants - on either side of the aisle - but he would unquestionably be the best that America can offer. As an American Jew, I am grateful for all that President Trump has done for Israel and to protect America. But it is VITAL that the hard left be stopped. With Bloomberg as the Democratic nominee, we all win.”

  • Bloomberg supported the ground zero mosque.
  • School choice: During his tenure as mayor he supported Eva Moskowitz and charter schools.  But, he also made himself in charge of public schools and worked out a contract for teachers with then United Federation Of Teacher’s President, Randi Weingarten, that changed tenure and benefits for educators.

Critics claim that as mayor, Bloomberg centralized decision making process sometimes shutting out important voices and leadership and that Bloomberg was not transparent.

The city's schools adopted new reading and math curriculae, based on globalist opinions and fuzzy math, often putting English language skills and American history on a lower level of importance.

He revamped New York’s high school admissions system to go to a city-wide process, and adopted an A-F system to grade schools, that was met with questionable standards.

He also pushed a teacher evaluation that many consider biased,  tainted and that in the end pushed many white and Jewish teachers out of jobs for cheaper and less qualified educators.

Much of the Democratic leadership tied to schools was under investigations and arrested for corruption like New York State Senator Shirley Huntley.

Bloomberg made himself a despot of education resulting in failing schools leaving many minorities feeling ignored and angry.

President Trump has done so much for minority communities, especially for Blacks and Hispanics. Why turn back? Can we trust Bloomberg to back yeshivas and private schools or improve public schools, given the current agenda of the Democratic Party?

Bloomberg has also been accused of making offensive and belittling remarks about women's appearances and sexuality, of a toxic misogynist culture at his company/  In the late 1990s, Bloomberg said he wouldn't believe a woman's rape claims unless "an unimpeachable third-party witness" could back them up.

Bloomberg has publicly criticized Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez‘s Green New Deal, speaking out for a more “practical” approach to clean energy and a more structured, feasible Democratic goal for 2020.  Yet, he remains silent on any of the anti-Semitic words and tweets any of the squad says.

Bloomberg has already apologized for his policies of stop and frisk.  The Black and Hispanic voters are having none of it.

My fellow Jews, don’t waste time and donor money on Michael Bloomberg for President.  He hurts on the Democratic side. President Trump will be really-elected, even Democratic strategists agree.  Why ruin a budding relationship with the current president?

If we go with Bloomberg,  pro -Israel policies during the second Trump term might not be a priority or as frequent.  It is embarrassing enough to watch Jews tied to the boring impeachment hearings that use their own opinions as if they are facts
