Readers were no doubt shocked by the prima donna reporter at Fox, Geraldo Rivera, lamenting that he didn’t support the Second Intifada against Israel and bemoaning his “cowardice” for not doing so back then. Of course, the fact that Rivera could say that he wished he had supported an action by the Palestinian Arabs who murdered numerous Jews might be regarded as just an uber liberal reporter spouting off for the Arab cut throats who try to claim they are “freedom fighters.”
Pro-Palestinian activists always use twisted logic, claiming that they are helping humanity by sympathizing with those who murder human beings, especially Jews, and trying to redefine this as fighting oppression. So, Rivera’s remarks come as no surprise to me. Both the public and Fox News have short memories where Geraldo is concerned, and he has gotten away for years passing himself off as a talking head especially where the Middle East is concerned. So now he feels very confident supporting Arab terrorism because Fox, his employer, just doesn’t seem to get it.
Rivera is more suited to reporting on Al Capone’s tomb than the Israel-Palestine question and letting him do so only elevates a reporter who acts like a clown to super-star status.
When U.S. forces first went into Afghanistan Geraldo shot a news segment from there that aired on Fox which began with him crawling outside a cave on his hands and knees on what he called “hallowed ground,” as he claimed U.S. forces had been there and fought a campaign just before his arrival. It later turned out that the cave was just a cave and actual combat location was 500 miles away. Geraldo, dressed in what might pass as campaign gear, could pass himself off as a combat reporter in the thick of things when he was not and get away with it.
During the war in Iraq, Geraldo was kicked off a real U.S. Army embed with American troops. because he gave away the unit’s position in a hot zone while telling all the world what an intrepid reporter he was. He even drew a map in the sand on camera.
Other reporters and media people such as MSNBC’s Brian WIlliams, Bill O’Reilly at Fox, even Hillary Clinton have been taken to task for lying to the public, but not Geraldo Rivera, not really. He’s still on Fox expressing opinions as if he knows what he’s talking about,

Geraldo Rivera is one of those reporters who always makes himself part of the story rather than giving facts to his audience. In a personal interview Geraldo did on Fox, he was face to face with Yasser Arafat and Geraldo fawned over as if he was a hero. Geraldo figured he was going to make peace in the Middle East and asked Arafat to tell people not to commit terror attacks, which Arafat refused to do. He finally got Arafat to mumble to an imaginary Arab audience that they shouldn’t do terror attacks. This was before the Passover Massacre in which his terrorists killed over 30 Israelis, mostly Holocaust survivors. The ensuing raid on Arafat's quarters in Ramallah, the Muqata, produced internal PLO documents which revealed that Arafat personally ordered and paid for terror attacks such as the Passover Massacre.
But Geraldo could boast about how he got Arafat to condemn terrorism. He then went before the camera in a soliloquy about how there would finally be peace if the Israelis would just get out of the 'West Bank', but that he couldn’t get the Israelis to agree. This self-interview by a reporter went on for nearly fifteen minutes on primetime Fox TV.
Fox received 14,000 emails asking Rivera be removed. The only thing Fox did about it was to reassign him outside the Middle East temporarily.
But now he’s back:
Geraldo seems intent on spouting Palestinian propaganda, such as his statement that Gaza is like a concentration camp. He also refuses to accept Israel’s right to exist and advances Hamas' goals in his talks, refusing to acknowledge the fact that the Hamas charter calls for killing all Jews and Israelis. Geraldo has compared Arafat to George Washington and Fox seems to see nothing wrong with it.
As a correspondent, he has access to information to show that Israel has bent over backwards to make peace, yet he said he wishes he had endorsed the killing of Jews and Israelis years ago. .His recent support for the Second Intifada shows the mindset of the BDS crowd.
Viewers should email Fox News this time and ask he be removed, not for his political views, but for his endorsement of terrorism against Jews and Israelis, constituting incitement to kill. Geraldo’s wishing he had supported terrorism during the Second Intifada should constitute enough incitement to have him placed on Israel’s BDS Blacklist.
Write Fox News (you can even reach them from outside the USA) and tell them it’s time for Geraldo Rivera to be gone. The news division is already inundated with problems from his gaffes supporting sexual harassment and other issues. His latest endorsement for terrorism and murder should finally persuade Fox executives to be done with him.
