Ipsos, the major institute of French surveys, released a shocking report entitled “Development of relations with the other in French society”. In this case the “other” is the French Jew. And the results are shocking.
The question asked was about the flight of French Jews (5,000 in 2016): 60 percent of respondents said they are “indifferent”, 7 percent are “happy” and only 30 percent are “disappointed”.
It is a sign of these dramatic times, the rising of the new French Socialists’ candidate, Benoît Hamon, the representative of a radical left which Malek Boutih, socialist MP of Essonne, called “Islamo-leftist”. The socialist candidate for the Elysee, Hamon, nourishes in fact important links with the galaxy of the Muslim Brotherhood, while his opponent, Manuel Valls, had promised to fight, at least rhet`orically, Islamic fundamentalism in the name of secularism. Hamon’s spokesman, Alexis Bachelay, who is also MP from Hauts-de-Seine, defined a recent project of the city of Paris called “Tel Aviv on the Seine” as “Pretoria-sur-Seine”, because Israel is like “South Africa before Mandela’s release.” Not satisfied with that, Hamon’s spokesman also said that the “Pretoria regime was perhaps sweeter than the extreme right ruling in Israel”.

Another candidate for the Socialist primary, former Education Minister Vincent Peillon, recently compared anti-Semitism and “Islamophobia”, while the secretary of the Socialist Party, Jean-Christophe Cambadélis, said: “There is the same desire to stigmatize. The Jews of France can surely hear the echoes from Vichy, when France sinned the sin of indifference and the of active collaboration with the Nazis.
