In Greek mythology, Sisyphus was a king punished by being compelled to roll an immense boulder up a hill, only to watch it roll back down; and he was condemned to repeat this onerous punishment throughout eternity. Hence the word "sisyphean" has come to mean "an endless and futile labor or task."
Well friends, this has been Israel’s punishment since 1993, when its intellectually impoverished government signed an agreement with the PLO, a consortium of Jew-killers.
Albert Camus, in his 1942 essay The Myth of Sisyphus, saw Sisyphus as personifying the absurdity of human life. What could be more absurd than prime ministers of Israel repeatedly negotiating with an organization openly committed to Israel's destruction?
I shall also construe as Sisyphean the repeated but futile efforts of normal Jews to awaken Israeli governments from the folly or madness of negotiating with Muslims animated by a theologically irreversible hatred of Israel. Alas, these normal Jews lack the unity and revolutionary ardor required to pursue a national strategy designed to utterly devastate their existential enemy, an enemy that grows more bold and more deadly seeing that Israel’s government is not passionately and persistently concerned about saving Jewish lives, a government, paralyzed by its unmanly infatuation with peace.
Israeli prime ministers repeatedly obscure the simple fact that Islamic rulers cannot become a “partner for peace” without renouncing Islam itself—a 1,400 year-old ideology. It seems that Jews like Sisyphus are condemned to roll up the immense boulder of Islam’s fourteen-century hatred of Jews.
But now, allow me to go beyond academic language and address the reader in personal terms. I ask you to imagine what peace-loving Jews must feel, and how much they must endure, seeing that massive boulder they rolled up roll down again and crush the lives of innocent Jewish men, women, and children!
This has been the suffering Jews have endured for two decades since their leaders consummated a covenant of death with the PLO! Two decades of madness and terror.
Hence, I ask you to think of the families and friends of the thousands of Jews who have been murdered or maimed since that 1993 lethal covenant with Israel’s sworn enemies. Think of the loved ones of the Jewish victims of this covenant. Imagine their despair hearing again and again the lies of their own government about trying to achieve “peaceful coexistence” with the mortal enemies of the Jewish people.
Peace with whom? Peace with jobless Arabs paid to kill Jews? That’s what Israeli governments have been selling Jews for two decades!
Ponder well about these mirages—yes, and about over 1,000 Jewish casualties resulting from that 1993 covenant of death for which no one has been punished.
And while you think about the hallucinatory Israelis who think they can make peace, think also of what normal Jews must feel and endure hearing their governments talk about relations with Israel’s barbaric enemies, whose warriors destroyed hundreds of Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, Zoroastrian, and Jewish communities.
Is more evidence needed to convince any rational person that Israel is confronted by a genocidal enemy, an enemy that believes its own lies and who is therefore infected by a psychotic disorder produced by a 1,400-year culture of hatred?
Can you imagine Franklin Roosevelt speaking of “peaceful coexistence” with the Nazis?
This psychotic enemy, who exults in death, can only be ignored by the most obtuse humanitarians, who cannot distinguish between a human being and beast with technique!
Israeli prime ministers decry having no “peace partner”! What possible "peace partner"? It is an insult to the intelligence of a sixth grade Israeli!
So powerful and so frequent is the taling about peace, it’s no longer possible for a new prime minister to tell the truth without bringing down the entire house of cards called “Israel.”
Like Sisyphus, every prime minister of Israel is doomed to roll up a boulder of lies only to have it roll down and crush Jews who have supinely accepted the fate of Sisyphus as inescapable.
