The Israeli Air Force flyovers for Israel's 74th Independence Day will feature flights over Hebron and the communities of Gush Etzion.

This is the first time the IAF will fly over Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria during Independence Day.

The head of the Kiryat Arba-Hebron Council, Eliyahu Libman, responded with satisfaction to the decision: "I salute the Air Force and the entire IDF this year also from the sky above the Cave of the Patriarchs, better late than never. I would like to thank the Air Force commanders who accepted the residents' requests and agreed to allow the festive flyover also in the skies of Kiryat Arba-Hebron on Independence Day for the first time. This is another brick in the building of the land and the settlement in Judea and Samaria."

The Torat Lechima organization, which had lobbied for the flyovers to include Judea and Samaria, welcomed the move: "We will continue to work, with the help of G-d, so that the plane will also pass over Samaria and the Binyamin region."
