Shlomi Shabat, one of Israel's best-loved vocalists, is marking 40 years of his musical career.
In recent years, Shabat has been in close contact with Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto, the leader of Israel's Shuva Israel community in Israel and around the world. A few days ago, he sent a surprise message to Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto, dedicating a song to him.
The gesture followed Shabat's request that Rabbi Pinto bless one of Shabat's family members, who had suffered a medical incident. Rabbi Pinto gave the blessing warmly, and Shabat was very moved. After a time, the medical issue was successfully resolved.
Following this, Shabat published a video clip in which he sings the song, "Ein Od Milvado" (literally, "There is None Other than G-d") by Yosi Gispan and Tomer Adaddi to Rabbi Pinto, while playing the guitar.
"Dear and honored Rabbi Pinto, I love you so much, and I'm so worried about you, and I think about you," Shabat said in the video clip. "I wish you health, with G-d's help, and that we merit to see you continuing and blessing and bringing joy to the entire nation of Israel. Thank you very much for the blessing you gave us. You warmed our heart."
"I want to dedicate to you a taste of a song that I really love. May you have only health, honored rabbi."
