The Palestinian Authority's “foreign ministry” on Saturday accused the Israeli government and its various ministries of strengthening “settlements in the West Bank, stealing land and [carrying out] ethnic cleansing in the Occupied Palestinian Territory."

In a statement, the bureau said that the Israeli media had recently presented documentation showing the involvement of the government and official institutions in Israel in supporting, financing, encouraging and legitimizing the “settlements”.

According to the PA “foreign ministry”, this also includes "the involvement of Israeli officials, Knesset members and official and unofficial institutions, whether transferring part of their budgets to support settlements, or circumventing laws to facilitate the process of stealing Palestinian land and allocating it to settlements, organizations with them and terrorist spreading organizations."

The PA bureau also claimed that the evidence published was "clear evidence that Israeli governments one after the other are settlement governments that were all involved in this blatant violation of international law and took part in the settlement crime which is a war crime and a crime against humanity."

In this context, it noted the allocation of large sums of money from the budget of the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture to support outposts in Judea and Samaria and expand their territory.

The PA “foreign ministry” called on the UN Security Council to assume its legal and moral responsibility for this "crime", to make its decisions binding on the "occupying power" and to implement the relevant UN resolutions, the most prominent of which is Resolution 2334.
