Yisrael Gantz, head of the Binyamin Regional Council, participated on Monday in the Yamina faction meeting where he presented to the MKs his concerns over the move to apply sovereignty over Judea and Samaria in the current outline.
Speaking to Arutz Sheva, Gantz said, "We are pleased that the push for sovereignty is taking root. This is an important move for the settlement enterprise, but there are great dangers here and the settlement will stand firm so that the communities will not be harmed, the roads and highways will be preserved, the Jewish settlement will develop and of course there will not be a state that will endanger the people of Judea and Samaria."
Gantz added that the dangers in the US administration’s “Deal of the Century” go beyond the establishment of a Palestinian state.
"We have to thank the American president who is carrying out a brave move, but the current outline is dangerous. It talks about enclaves, freezing construction, the possibility of bringing millions of Arabs to Judea and Samaria, borders. We will not agree to that," he stressed.
