Shalom Dov Ber Yona is a 13-year-old boy from Arad that was saved by MDA teams after suffering from cardiac arrest about three years ago. About six months ago, MDA's Wish Ambulance fulfilled his dream when it took him to visit his favorite singer, Moshe Peretz's, home. Peretz assured him that immediately after undergoing the heart surgery he was waiting for, he would invite him to be the guest of honor at his performance.

Last week, MDA's Wish Ambulance fulfilled Shalom's wish, with MDA paramedics Israel Lugasi and Dan Ben-Yishai traveling with him and his mother Keren from Arad to the Jerusalem hall. There, Shalom visited behind the scenes and went on to sing on stage with Moshe Peretz, in front of hundreds of spectators in the audience.

"Going up to perform with Moshe Peretz and visiting him backstage is something I never imagined would happen," Shalom said. "I was enjoyed myself so much and was so excited, and I didn't want it to end. I want to say thank you to everyone who helped and allowed me to fulfill my wish."

"It was a very exciting experience. Shalom was ecstatic, and didn't stop smiling for a moment," said Keren, Shalom's mother. "I am so grateful to Magen David Adom and the organization's Wish Ambulance, and also to Moshe Peretz, who enabled this experience, which brought him so much happiness."

"Every wish we fulfill is very exciting to me, and Shalom was especially charming and exciting," said paramedic MDA Israel Lugasi, "It was so gratifying to see him having fun and smiling during the entire show, and it gives me a lot of happiness to know that we succeeded, through MDA's Wish Ambulance, to do this for him."
