Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin on June 15 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, Israel Hayom reported.

According to Israel Hayom, the PA's Foreign Affairs Chief Riyad al-Maliki told Russian media that the meeting will be held at the same time as next month's Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia.

The Kremlin has not yet confirmed the meeting.

Two weeks ago, al-Maliki met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, expressing Abbas' desire to meet Putin face-to-face.

In March, Russia offered to host a meeting between Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
