An earthquake hit northern Israel Sunday afternoon, just hours after a previous tremor in the same area.
Just after 4:40 p.m. local time, an earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale was felt in the Tiberias area near Lake Kinneret (the Sea of Galilee).
“My third story apartment was shaking for about four to five seconds,” Dorit, a resident of Tiberias, told Arutz Sheva.
“There was a bit of a feeling of helplessness. Luckily, it ended quickly.”
No injuries were reported in the earthquake.
Earlier on Sunday, an earthquake measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale struck in the Tiberias area at approximately 5:00 a.m.
On Saturday, an earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale was felt in the Kinneret area.
The epicenter was northeast of Tiberias, in the northern Kinneret (Sea of Galilee), Israel's Geophysical Institute said.
Sunday afternoon’s earthquake is the fifth since a pair of tremors, measuring 4.1 and 4.3, were felt on Wednesday and Thursday.
