The death toll in a strike on the outskirts of Damascus has risen to 15 non-Syrian pro-regime fighters, including eight Iranians, a Britain-based war monitor said Wednesday.

The strike hit a weapons depot of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards in the area of Kisweh south of the capital late Tuesday, the anti-Assad Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitoring group said.

The group claimed that Israel stands behind the attack. However, Israel has not confirmed that this is the case.

At this hour, Prime Minister Netanyahu is in Moscow to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Before taking off for Russia, Netanyahu explained that his upcoming meeting with Putin was “especially important.”

“In light of what is currently happening in Syria, it is necessary to ensure the continued coordination between the Russian military and the IDF,” he said.
