On Wednesday, the price of intercity public transportation in Israel will drop significantly.

The changes apply to passengers using a personal "Rav Kav" card, with a daily or monthly, pass, and will apply to buses, trains, Jerusalem's light rail train, and Haifa's "Metronit."

However, the decrease will not apply to the Arava region or Eilat.

According to The Marker, the price reform will include two metropolitan areas, as well as the routes within those areas and between them.

The Transportation Ministry will also implement a 60 NIS ($17.15) country-wide pass, including all types of transportation in all areas of the country from Kiryat Shmona to Mitzpe Ramon, and will cancel the 90-minute transfer limit, The Marker added.
