Two men in their twenties were killed on Friday night after their vehicle crashed into a Jersey barrier on the Afula-Nazaret road near Jezreel Valley's Poriah Junction.

Initial investigations show the victims were traveling in a private car from the northern village of Tel Adashim towards Afula. The driver, who was speeding, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the Jersey barrier.

Magen David Adom paramedic Bolus Saad said, "When we arrived, we found a horrific scene. There was a car smashed on the Jersey barrier, and two twenty-year-olds were trapped inside. Both men were unconscious, not breathing, and lacked a pulse, and they suffered multiple system injuries.

"We attempted to administer first aid while we rescued them from the vehicle. After a lengthy operation on the firefighters' part, we took a 21-year-old to the hospital while attempting CPR. The ER staff declared him dead on arrival. The second victim had no signs of life and we were forced to declare his death on the way to the hospital."

Also on Friday night, a motorcyclist was killed after hitting a vehicle in Rehovot. Two women were injured in the collision.

On Saturday morning, a 51-year-old cyclist was killed after being hit by a car on Route 4 (the coastal highway) near the central Israeli town of Kfar Haim.
