Rabbi Ari Neuwirth spoke to Arutz Sheva on the issue of drug abuse and alcohol among children in the Jewish community.

“Since Rosh Hashanah, 70 children in the New York area have died from alcohol and drugs. My thought, being an educator for over 15 years and having many children of my own, is that we need to give children a platform to be listened to. Unfortunately, when children do not feel they are being listened to by parents or teachers, they find other people in other places where they can be heard, and unfortunately those places are where alcohol and drugs are to be found,” he said.
