The Israeli Air Force (IAF) conducted airstrikes on terror targets in Gaza overnight Sunday/Monday, hours after a rocket struck the Eshkol region.
The IDF spokesperson's office confirmed Monday that the strikes were a direct response to the rocket attack, and that Hamas terror targets in northern Gaza were eliminated.
Shortly after 11:00 pm Sunday night, two rockets were fired from Gaza towards Israel, but the first one missed the target and exploded on the Gazan side of the border.
A second rocket exploded in an open area of the Eshkol Regional Council. There were no physical injuries or damages.
