Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely (Likud) responded sharply to reports that the radical leftist organization Breaking the Silence is holding an anti-Israel exhibition in Switzerland.

Breaking the Silence has gained infamy in Israel for gathering allegedly false testimony from IDF soldiers and presenting it to the world so as to slander the IDF as a whole and accuse it of improper conduct.

The exhibition by the organization in Switzerland is reportedly planned between June 4 and 14, and in it senior members of the group will present the alleged testimony and in doing so slander Israel on the international stage.

"I ordered members of the (Foreign) Ministry to hold an urgent meeting to examine the courses of action we will take against the activities of Breaking the Silence in Switzerland," the deputy minister announced.

Hotovely also gave an order to the Israeli embassy in Switzerland "to examine as immediately as possible courses of action against the exhibition of Breaking the Silence."

"We will not carry on with business as usual when an organization whose entire purpose is to stain IDF soldiers acts in the international sphere to cause heavy damage to the image of the state of Israel," added Hotovely.

She concluded, "the Foreign Ministry will continue its widespread activities against these sources who work against Israel from within and without."

Reportedly Breaking the Silence is funded by an Arab organization based in Ramallah, the governmental seat of the Palestinian Authority (PA).
