Whether or not the Palestinian Authority will be able to level charges against Israel in the International Criminal Court or ensure the passing of the UN Security Council resolution demanding that Israel withdraw from all of Judea and Samaria is still unclear.

But one thing the PA will fight to do “until the bitter end,” Palestinian Authority top terrorist Jibril Rajoub told Israeli newspaper Maariv, is to get Israel booted out of international soccer organization FIFA.

Earlier in the week, Rajoub, who chairs the PA's Football Association, filed a petition with FIFA to suspend Israel, claiming that Israel discriminates against Arab players, and refuses to allow teams from PA-controlled areas of Judea and Samaria to travel to and from Gaza.

Rajoub has been threatening to submit the petition for some time, but was hesitant because of efforts by FIFA officials to get him to quash the petition. It is believed that there is little chance the request will be approved, however, as it takes a majority of 66% of the members to pass such a resolution. The petition is to be discussed by FIFA at its next meeting in two months.

Regardless, said Rajoub, the PA is determined to see Israel out of the international football (soccer) charts. “We have no choice but to see this through to the end,” he said.

“We have been suffering for many years. We have tried to speak many times with Israeli officials, and no one will help. We asked the Defense Ministry, and even former President Shimon Peres. No one is willing to intervene in this and arrange travel for our teams,” he added.
