Kurdish and pro-Israel activists found common ground at a rally in front of the White House on Saturday, as a group of Kurdish activists joined pro-Israel demonstrators in solidarity with the Jewish state's struggle against Hamas.

Both Israelis and Kurds have been fighting for survival against fanatical Islamist foes in recent months.

Kurdish forces in Syria have been engaged in a long and bloody battle against Islamist rebels. More recently, terrorists from the "Islamic State" group slaughtered hundreds of ethnic Kurds from the Yazidi religious sect as they attempt to expand their control into the Kurdish autonomous zone in northern Iraq, amid fierce clashes with Kurdish Peshmerga forces.
