World-renown Israeli cantor and actor Dudu Fisher has added his voice to the #BringBackOurBoys campaign calling for the freedom of three Israeli teenagers abducted by Hamas terrorists.
At an exclusive New York performance last week, Fisher explained that he would be dedicating a song - a special rendition of "Bring Him Home" from the play Les Miserables - to the boys, which he had previously dedicated to Gilad Shalit, as well as to his own children during their military service.
"On the stages of Broadway I remember as Jean Valjean I used to think abut my kids and dedicate it to my kids who served in the army - my kids and their friends," he said, referring to his role as Les Miserables protagonist Jean Valjean.
"Every night I was praying for them 'Please God bring them back home, bring them home...', and they came home safely thank God - who says prayers don't work?"
After that, he dedicated the song to Shalit, who was held captive by Hamas for five years. The Islamist terrorist organization is believe to be behind the latest kidnapping as well.
Fisher said that, as was his custom when performing in the US, the song would be also dedicated to US servicemen serving abroad "but most of all to Eyal, Gilad and Naftali."
"Let's all pray; pray for them to come back home safely please God."
Eyal Yifrah, Gilad Shaar and Naftali Frenkel were abducted by terrorists more than a week ago as they were travelling home in Gush Etzion, south of the capital.
The IDF, intelligence services and other security forces have conducted an unprecedented search for the missing boys, who are believed to be held somewhere in the Hevron region, south of where they were kidnapped.
Meanwhile, the kidnappings have triggered a rare show of national unity, with Israelis from across the political and religious spectrum - as well as Jews in the Diaspora - holding mass prayer services and rallies for the boys.
