The terror attack which occurred at the Tapuach Junction this week is a direct result of Israel releasing terrorists from its prisons, bereaved father Ron Kehrmann said on Wednesday.
Kehrmann lost his daughter Tal in a 2003 suicide bombing attack on the Egged #37 bus in Haifa. He and two other parents who lost children in that attack tried to prevent the release of the Shalit deal terrorists in 2011, by filing a claim of compensation for damages in a civil court against the murderers of their children.
He spoke to Arutz Sheva on Wednesday, a day after attending the funeral of Evyatar Borovsky who was killed in Tuesday’s terror attack. Kehrmann chose to attend Borovsky’s funeral despite the fact that he had not known him.
"I felt a strong need to be at the funeral,” he explained. “The hands of the terrorists do not distinguish between Jews in Haifa and Jews in Tapuach. They all are a target."
Kehrmann said that it is horrifying to think that there is always talk about making “gestures” to the Palestinian Authority by releasing terrorist prisoners.
“It makes my blood boil every time I hear the calls to release terrorists. Everyone knows very well that this murderer will be released and it is only a matter of time. And again they talk about gestures to the Palestinian Authority. It drives me crazy. I have been fighting this phenomenon for several years and it makes me angry every time.”
Kehrmann said that it is thanks to people like Evyatar Borvosky that the State of Israel exists and is flourishing. "I saw the large crowds at yesterday’s funeral, and I think that it is thanks to these guys that our country exists.”
“The terrorists took me into the world of bereavement ten years ago, and to this day I find it hard to believe that Tal is gone. That’s why I came to the funeral - because I know very well what awaits his orphans and his widow,” said Kerhmann.
