Six weeks ago, police conducted an operation against Jewish residents of the Susya community near Hevron that caused the Jews great concern and pain. In the operation, police disguised themselves as Arabs and approached the community in a threatening way, prompting the residents to try and defend themselves.
In this way, the police entrapped the Jewish residents and then arrested them for supposed violence.
The operation caused uproar in the Jewish communities.
The Office of Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovich told Arutz Sheva Wednesday that "when the minister found out about the said incident, the matter was raised in the situation assessment, and it was made clear that use of men in this way by the Israel Police will not happen again."
