Michael Craig Palmer, whose son Asher and grandson Yonatan were murdered by terrorists on September 23, 2011, has asked the public to join him at the next significant public hearing for the five Arabs accused of plotting and carrying out the murderers.
The hearing will take place at the Ofer military base, just north of Jerusalem, on Wednesday, April 18, at 10:30 a.m.
Dozens of people volunteered to accompany the bereaved family members in the previous court session in the murder trial, on March 11.
"The strong public support at the hearing on March 11 demonstrated emphatically that terror victims and Israeli society at large expect justice from the justice system," Palmer told Arutz Sheva. "This was not the message at the February hearing where there was barely any Jewish presence and the murderers openly received encouragement from their supporters in the courtroom!"
"It is, I believe, very important to show the prosecution and the court that Asher and Yonatan, and all victims of terror, are remembered and that we demand justice for their murderers."
Palmer asks the public "to get the word out about the April 18 hearing. Anyone interested in being there should contact me at [email protected]."
The murderers threw a large rock from their car, as it drove down Route 60, into Asher Palmer's car, which was approaching in the opposite lane. Evidence presented in the case has indicated that the murderers trained for the murder and practiced the method of murder on other cars before carrying out the double murder.
