The U.S. Consulate in Jerusalem has canceled an invitation to a Palestinian Authority cartoonist to participate in a training course due to their possibly being viewed as anti-Semitic and racist cartoons.
The cartoonist, Majed Badra of Gaza, denies the accusation, saying that he respects all religions but also expresses opposition to “the Israeli occupation, settlements, killing, siege and injustice.”
The Bethlehem-based Ma'an news agency said he had received a visa before receiving notification of the cancellation.
Badra had been invited to the International Visitors' Leadership Program in Washington, organized by the U.S. State Department. Israel National News presents three of his cartoons for the reader to judge whether they are anti-Semitic and/or racist.
