Israeli police and Border Police raided two Jewish communities on Monday and destroyed buildings. Following the demolitions, several hundred olive trees belonging to Arabs were burned, allegedly by Jews. Arabs also accused Jews of stoning Arab cars.

The destruction of one building at the outpost of Adei Ad and another at the outpost of Nofei Yarden, near Shilo, prompted demonstrators to protest on a highway near Shechem. A Border Policeman broke the nose of a teenaged protestor, who was arrested and later hospitalized.

Shilo is located in Samaria north of Beit El and south of the Tapuach junction. Nearly 25 families live in Adei Ad, and most of them work in agriculture or construction.

National Union Knesset member Michael Ben-Ari said, “The destruction at Adei Ad proves that the Netanyahu government has become a contractor for the Obama administration on its way to turn Zionism into ruins.”

Residents of the Binyamin regional council committee said that the Civil Lands Administration ordered the destruction near Adei Ad in revenge for the community’s filing of a complaint alleging that Civil Land officials tried to steal from the town and one of those officials ran over a resident. Police investigated the complaint.

Nationalist activists have also filed a complaint over the recent infiltration of the community by Arabs. The infiltration took place just hours after police arrived at the outpost with seven Arabs, who were allowed to roam in the area.
