The Government Press Office and Global Research International Affairs (GLORIA) Center held a briefing for the foreign media on Wednesday on the subject, “The US Elections: Implications for Israel and the Middle East.”

GLORIA Center Director Professor Barry Rubin spoke on the implications that President-elect Barack Obama's leadership would have on U.S. Middle East policy. Obama is likely to take a “relatively soft approach,” Rubin said, which increases the risk that Iran will push forward with its nuclear program “with much less concern over consequences.”
