The bodies of two suicide bombers who blew up the commercial center in the Negev city of Dimona were handed over to the Hamas terrorist group and buried with fanfare by their Arab neighbors in Hevron.

The bodies of the dead terrorists were transferred Wednesday to Hevron. The terrorists, Mohammed al-Herbawi and Shadi al-Zaghir, carried out an attack in the Negev town of Dimona earlier this month in which an elderly woman, 73-year-old Lyubov Razdolskaya, was killed, and 40 people were wounded.

Hamas held a joint funeral procession for the two men in PA-controlled Hevron Thursday.

Hamas still refuses to return kidnapped Israeli soldier Cpl. Gilad Shalit. It is unclear why Israel did not retain the bodies of the terrorists to be used as leverage in negotiations for Shalit’s return.

Hamas reported on its web site: “Large masses of Al-Khalil [Hevron] people marched on Wednesday evening in the funeral procession of Mohamed Al-Hirbawi and Shadi Al-Zaghir, the Kassam fighters who carried out the human bombing operation in the Israeli Dimona settlement [sic].”
