Petition
To: Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Walmart
Remove Christian Haggadah from Judaism Section
Update (March 19): Barnes & Noble has stated that they are changing the category
listing to "Christian." The petition against the other booksellers continues.
A Christian missionary publisher has succeeded in placing its “Passover Family Pack” into the Judaism section of Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Walmart and other major US book outlets. People seeking authentic Passover Haggadahs for the upcoming holiday are liable to unwittingly purchase this missionary publication. Join the public outcry and sign the following petition calling upon booksellers to exercise responsibility to the public and accurately label this publication as "Christian."

The Passover Family Pack: The cover looks
Jewish. The content is Christianity
We the undersigned - Reform, Reconstructionist, Conservative, and Orthodox Jews as well as non-affiliated Jews and people of other faiths – are offended at the affront to the Jewish Faith that your bookstore has caused by placing a Christian missionary version of the classic Haggadah (ritual book used on the first nights of Passover) in the Jewish Books section.
The innocent-sounding book title
Passover Family Pack: Everything You Need to Enjoy a Passover Seder Dinner departs from thousands of years of Jewish tradition and introduces concepts associated with the Christian deity into the traditional Passover Seder service. This counters the basic tenets of Judaism, according to Jewish denominations across the board.
The book's publisher, Messianic Jewish Resources, is associated with works such as The
Jewish New Testament and
Praying Like the Jew Jesus. This deceptive "Passover Kit" and similar books are designed to assault the Jewish faith. Placing them in the Jewish section of book stores is tantamount to consumer fraud.
We, therefore, call upon you, the booksellers, to exercise responsibility to the public and remove this missionary Hagaddah from the Passover and Judaism sections in your online and conventional bookstores and accurately label it "Christian."
