Other than that, the arabs who settled in Israel, usually anywhere from 100 years ago came from all different arab and moslem countries for employment, as they were first invited by the Turks and then the British. Many came from Eastern Europe, like Bosnia.  In fact the arabs living in Hebron are notorious for their cruelty and murderous ways, as the 1929 and 1936 massacres has proven. The only DNA that might be similar would be if they have Yishmael in them through our father, Abraham. Most arabs stem from a multitude of different peoples and are not even from Yishmael, as today there are no signs of Yishmael, Canaanites, Hittites, etc.  Those who really think they are from Jews and behave with Jewish mercy are probably from the forced conversions & maybe only married from within their own families. Why not.  It was done in Kosovo.\n\n\"David Ignatius of The Washington Post recently quoted a senior Arab diplomat as telling him that a settlement freeze won\'t cut it. They know those agreements hold the key to demonstrating that Yesha is legally Jewish land and that the Roadmap violates international law. \n\nWhether the Jews would have been able to declare independence and have it recognized by the outside world without the original backing by the League of Nations is another matter and I\'m not qualified to give my opinion on that.  \n\nBut judging by the extent to which non-Jews have gone, and still go, to obliterate the Jewish presence in the world, I have my doubts.\n\nThe only thing restraining humankind from sinking even lower into all-out- bloodshed and abuse is the rule of law backed up by the threat of force.  That\'s the name of the game.  The law may get twisted all too often, but it still holds power.\n\nWhen Israel cries foul and tells the world about its rights to the land based on history or religious belief, the world turns away with a yawn.  They DON\'T CARE.  On the contrary, they can hardly wait to see Israel being dismantled once and for all.\n\nHowever, they still have an interest in keeping appearances:  they follow the rule of law.  \n\nAnd that\'s why I say use what you have:  your rights as agreed on by the League of Nations Mandate and other pertinent international law.\n\nStop asking for fairness and decency. But I\'d like to focus on a single one:  Dr. Narrett\'s response to a question by Mark from Chicago.\n\nMark\'s question went somewhat like this: \n\n“I‘ve been wondering about the Balfour Declaration, with so much of it that was left in place although people tried to change it, and which determined that Jews could settle west of the Jordan river  How do you feel about it?\"\n\nDr. Narrett gave the answer that most of us feel in our hearts:  \n\n\"What business is it of the British Empire of any other empire to tell Jews where they can or cannot live.\"\n\nSo far so good.\n\nBut I’m with Mark on this.\n\nDr. Narrett\'s dignified and truthful answer won\'t get us anywhere in the present moment of crisis.\n\nWhile the brave and hard-working pioneers, past and present, deserve our deepest gratitude, admiration, and respect forever, we also have to recognize that modern Israel partly came to be - politically speaking - thanks to the Balfour Declaration and the League of Nations Mandate for Palestine, culminating on that vote at the United Nations.  This is a reality.  \n\nWithout their backing Jews would have perhaps continued to settle on ancient Jewish land but without a proper army and getting massacred at whim by the Arabs with the tacit support of their western allies.  \n\nIn other words, Israel would not be a legitimate country (in spite of appearances to the contrary) and the regional military and economic superpower it is now.\n\nBut part of today\'s reality is those daily announcements by Europeans, Arabs, and of course Americans, determining what the Jews are allowed or not allowed to do in their own country.\n\nAnd the Israeli Prime Minister and other politicians THINK THAT THIS IS NORMAL!!!\n\nIf you are going to avail yourselves of minor legal ammunition such as the backroom deal made between Bush and Sharon about the settlements – it’s all the more relevant to bring back to the discussion table the Balfour Declaration, the League of Nations Mandate, and the fact that the United Nations is legally BOUND by all agreements made by the League of Nations.\n\nSo although we may take offense at the fact that the British Empire gave Jews permission to settle on the land of Israel, that document should be used NOW because it\'s the kind of legal currency that America and  international bodies understand.\n\nIsraelis are fighting a PR and legal battle with substandard weapons and ignoring the powerful arsenal in the Balfour Declaration and the League of Nations Mandate that they so despise.  \n\n");

Note that the movie refrained from identifying its exact percentage in the Arab population.\n\n2) The animalism shown in the Arab community toward its own and toward Jews is appalling. Whether it was the Jew they literally ripped apart when he made a wrong-turn into their city, or the horrific abuse of wounded Jews and dead Jewish bodies during the Battle of Nebi Samwil (and many more examples could be given), it does not seem like the Arabs here are very compassionate, an identifying trait of a Jew.\n\n3) In general, Arabs look like Arabs. Yeah, this is kind of a superficial point, and it\'s no proof, but one can\'t help noticing...for example, Ethiopian Jews look very different from their non-Jewish counterparts, many Anousim look different from fellow Puerto Ricans, Spaniards, etc. Okay, yes, some Jews will look exactly like the surrounding non-Jews, but in general, Palestinians cannot be distinguished from other Arabs in the region, except through dress or accent. Also, one of the ways Israelis diffrentiate between themselves and Arabs is by the eyes - not the shape or color, but the \"look\" in them, the more intrinsic quality.\n\n4) When the Afghani Anousim heard about Israel\'s battles for independence, their first impulse was to help the Jews and fight for the establishment of Israel. (The Tribes of Israel by Eliyahu Avichayil) Arabs here uniformly sided with the British (and earlier, the Turks). They have consistently persecuted the Jews here, whether we were a tiny second-class minority or the ruling majority.\n\nI kind of agree with #3.\n\nThere is lots more to say, but that\'s it for now.\n\nTamar, as usual, your post was interesting and thought-provoking.
