Who you been talking to to get this rediculous statement?  It\'s not politically correct nor logicaly correct either!   Allah is the sun god of Islam and mohammad definitely not the God of Judao/christian belief. \'Yud Kay Vuv Kay\' (G-d) is the most Supreme God of creation and the only God of Abrahim, Issac and Jacob. He will have No other gods before him and is a jealous God, All knowing and All powerful.  A catholic priest stupidly proclaimed recently that he felt that his god would prefer to be called allah as it sounded nice to him.  NOT ME!  I have removed myself from All man made religions called by names man has given them each varying from one another doing what they think is honoring the true god along with cults. but there is only one religion ,that of the Jewish Hebrew.    Life is like a blade of grass.  It withers and dies but we must take advantage of the time we can be used whether for good or evil. A way seemeth right to man-- but the end therefore, is the way of death--possibly eternal.  Please know me before you state what I am.   I believe the laws and All the feasts ordained by God have purpose and will continue throught the ages to come to HaShems glory. The Jew is the apple of Gods eye and I pray for the peace of Jerusalem daily along with the prayer of protection of all the Troops and Airforce of Israel. ");

When G_d brought the Isrelites into the land promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, He used the Jews to punish the sins of the inhabitants of the land, to establish the people through whom He would bring the Messiah, to accomplish salvation to all who believe.  That, or in the NT, to demolish an evil country/ruler practicing injustice are the only times war is sanctioned.  Such as the battle of Ps. 83 many theologians think is being fulfilled at present (with Is. 17:1).  Then the battle of Magog (Ezek. 38,39), where God destroys Russia and her \nMuslim allies, and Armageddon, where Messiah returns and annihiltes all the armies of the world (Zech. 12-14) and establishes His millenial reign.  To 9: Many people have warred in the name of Christ, however, were not of Christ.  Your rightly pointed out the hypocrisy.  Christ said that there would be unbeleivers among his followers until the end, posing as his followers.  I attribute this mostly to the corrupt leaders of the Catholic church, who bribed people to fight with promises of years off purgatory for conquering  Muslims in control of the holy land or even for persecuting Jews.  Many atrocities have been done in the name of Christ by those falsely claiming his name.  Truly, the messiah would have no part is such unjust warfare.  And truly, now, those who name the name of the Messiah Jesus stam in support of the Jews, the source of their faith, much as Jesus taught that he was the source when He said metaphorically, \"I am the vine, and you are the branches.  He who abides in me, and I in him, bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.  If anyone does not abide in me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.\" Jn. 15:5,6  He who has ears, let him hear.");

But if you actually understood Torah, you would know that Jesus was just one of a number of rabbis who had a Messiah complex.  In other words, if you actually knew the \"Hebrew scriptures,\" you would know that the \"New Testament\" was a mere delusion, and you would not refer to \"Hebrew scriptures\" but simply \"Torah\" or \"Tanach.\"\n\nI find your looooong exposition of Christian doctrine mighty annoying, by the way.  Almost as annoying as your lectures to Jews here about Judaism.");

So yes, we are supposed to kill OR DRIVE OUT (i.e. relocate) idolators in the land of Israel.  But nowhere are Jews (I\'m talking about from the time of Sinai onward, when we truly became Jews) commanded to seek out gentiles and randomly slay them, as Islam requires.  We do not believe all gentiles to be idolators, which is a difference between Judaism and Islam (or even many Christians I\'ve been in contact with here in the \"Bible Belt\" of the USA).  There is something called a Noachide.  Read up on it, then come back and try to say the Torah says the same thing as the Koran, chas v\'shalom.");

I do know what I am talking about. I suspect it is you who does not know what they are talking about with regard to the Hebrew scriptures. I made the statement previously that both the Hebrew bible and the Koran have statements by G-d and Allah to make war against their enemies and kill them, but that the Christian bible has no statements of making war and killing of one\'s enemies, and I found that very odd. Your ignorance of Hebrew scripture is appalling, Daniel. The G-d of the Hebrew scriptures is a killer G-d. And, rightly so. You are ignorant if you do not know this. The strange thing is that the G-d of the Christian bible is not a killer G-d, at least not until you get to the book of Revelation. Here, He kills like there\'s no tomorrow, but those events are yet in our future. You cannot possibly defeat me in scriptural battle. I have not been defeated yet!\n");
AddReply(386006,"To Yitzi: What Christians believe","Eric","USA","01/14/09","Here is an example of what I am getting at: Jesus stated \"I am the vine, you are the branches\". Did Jesus mean that He thought He was a literal vine, and we literal branches? Of course not. Jesus often spoke in parables and metaphor to teach His followers. When Jesus taught \"Turn the other cheek\", He wasn\'t speaking literally, or else the evil man/woman would slap our cheeks off! He was speaking of a tolerance toward those who mistreat you. But even that has a limit. Jesus said \"do not resist the evil man\" (Matthew chapter 5) but that is not to be taken literally, or else evil and evil men/women would dominate the world. Jesus would not like that. He would not support us allowing evil men/women to dominate the world. Jesus resisted evil men all the time, and He resisted the most evil \'man\' of all time, Satan. So we see that taking things literally is to be done when the literal sense makes sense. But when the literal sense does not make sense, we do not take what Jesus said literally. We take it actually, knowing that an interpretation is required to make sense. In the Hebrew scriptures, in the book of Psalms, we see G-d describing Himself as having wings like a bird hovering over His people. Do you really think that the literal sense is required here? Of course not. Jews know that this is a metaphor of G-d\'s loving kindness toward His people. Whether Jew or Christian, each must know when to take what is written literally and when to take it actually. There is a difference.");

You\'ll find many commands to kill non-believers in the Hebrew scriptures and you\'ll find many commands to kill non-believers in the Muslim scriptures. Oddly, there are no commands to kill non-believers in the Christian scriptures. Odd, that. Jesus is too nice, too passive, too, well, Christ-like. I mean, He tells you to turn the other cheek when you are slapped, and to not resist the evil man (Matthew chapter 5)! If Jews followed Jesus, they\'d go right back to the ovens! So why then do Christians follow Jesus? We follow Him because we don\'t pay any attention to the questionable passages. We don\'t pay any attention to stuff like \"turn the other cheek\" and \"do not resist the evil man\", that sort of thing. Jesus resisted the evil man, so if He can, so can we. In other words, we Christians have the good sense to know what to follow, and what NOT to follow. Too bad Jews and Muslims don\'t.");
