They are totally secular and left wing but somehow It works. my friend has never said anything hurtful to me until last night when she took me to task for berating her for voting for Obama.  Actually I said she\'d done a terrible thing and there\'d be a place for here here when she needs it.  I think however her response held the clue to why American Jews will vote for BO. They simply can\'t abide Bush any more and see McCain as his clone philosophically. MY friend and her husband worked hard and in their mid to late 50\'s arrived where they wanted to be. There was later a sizable inheritance involved so economically they have been hard hit. She also said she voted for Bush because of his anti-terror and pro-Israel stance. She feel s utterly betrayed. She also said she doesn\'t feel any of \"them\" really likes the Jews so basically what does that matter.   These are basically good people who believe they love Israel, know the US isn\'t perfect but see it as the best place they can be for now and are angry. I think they are probably representative of most American Jews right now. That doesn\'t make it right or smart but it\'s what\'s driving that segment of the vote.\n\nAlso, Odelya asked a question and my answer is: I used to be an American Jew. Now I am an Israeli.  End of subject.\n\nMeira Yolanda,\nJerusalem");
AddReply(356102,"yes, huffingtonpost IS extreme left..","yvonne","cary","10/30/08","and I  believe the source mentioned by the blogger here is jewish and right? Problem is, we do not know, either way, what is, and what is not true. CNN published its version yesterday evening and then this morning in print. It dismissed both the allegations about Obama AND the counter allegations made by Huffingtonpost about McCain\'s own connections to Khalaid. The straighttalk express took off some time ago with Mr. Magoo at the engine. It went off track. Simply put, this is an U.S. election, and U.S. residents do not vote for Israelis, for jews, or for Israel. They live here, work here and vote here. Mr. McCain has not given many any reasons to vote for him. So, he tried labels, and inuendo. It turns people off. Let us be practical and stick with known and proven FACTS. Hearsay does not hold up in any court, not even the court of public opinion. Being practical also means considering the fact that Islam has more adherents now than christianity, and christianity has more than judaism. There are more people of color than there are caucasians. It appears, therefore, unwise to make the masses angry, especially if the allegations are unfounded. Rice and Bush appear to have excellent relations with Mr. Abbas. There is the *roadmap* and then there is the fact that Mr. Bush is, apparently, true or not (?),of opinion that West Jerusalem is NOT Israeli territory. Mr. Bush also gets along so well with Saudi Arabia that he insisted on implementing the (Saudi) *roadmap*. THIS is what I am saying: be careful, watch your words, watch your actions, and be certain that NOTHING reflects adversely on you, or on jews in general. The standard for us is NOT which gentile is friendly which which other gentile, but that we adhere to Torah, to truth, and to fact. Again, a word once launched can not be recalled. Neither can a stone. But a boomerang may come back at you. Again, McCain puts out labels, such as that Obama is a socialist. He does not believe that. He knows that it is untrue. McCain stated that himself on Larry King yesterday. So, what is the objective? McCain wants to win, at any and all cost. It is for him NOT about the U.S., the voters, or Israel. McCain has publicly stated  during a rally, to an old woman who said to be afraid of Obama, that that was the case. This is fully documented, and on film.");

The other information you mentioned was already out there in the public domain. As for blogs, Huffington is extreme leftist and is no more a source than LGF although I\'d go with Charles Johson any time on Israel over Huffington (recall the fauxtogtagraphy items of the 2nd Lebanon War).
