At the same time, legislation was passed under Dubya that gives the President huge emergency powers. This started with the Patriot Act, and has continued. Let\'s not forget that this legislation was enacted in the shadow of 1) 911, 2) anthrax incidents, some fatal. Though we \'know\' according to the media that the perpetrator of the anthrax attacks killed himself recently, we don\'t know that he was the actual perpetrator. We do know that anthrax was mailed to a number of Democratic Senators - Daschle, Leahy, etc., who were opposed to the Patriot Act. We know that the media stampeded the public into a position that any Congressman opposing the Patriot Act would have been in a politically suicidal position. We know that Cheney likes to threaten Senators who oppose the Admin., etc. He did this with Wellstone and a few others. \n\nWe don\'t know what happened with the Beltway Snipings, except we do know that the terror and fear produced by this extended event, and the fact that a man named Muhammad was arrested and convicted for these acts, decidedly helped ready the public for the Iraq war. The murders came right before the invasion. The coverage, again, pushed public fears to the highest point. Yet, again, there is no proof that Muhammad and Malvo acted alone, althought there are provably suspicious aspects to this string of killings, especially as regards Muhammad\'s background. \n\nSK is the typical brilliant Jew who believes his intellect will save him from the anti-Semites. It\'s been tried before. When the dam breaks - if it does - it doesn\'t work. Some of us have experienced the real Jew-hatred that exists in the US as well.
