Maybe that\'s why there has not been much response to this column.  \n\nMany of us have become jaded by the avalanche of bad news both in Israel and in our part of the world.  \n\nIn just a few days we have seen how greed and irresponsibility are rewarded, while those who lose their savings are left to fend for themselves.  The homeless remain homeless, the sick remain without health care, and the greedy get to keep the millions they made when the going was good.\n\nMeantime in Israel citizens watch helplessly while a few thousand Arabs make the difference in determining who the next PM will be.  And the rest of the political picture is nothing to be happy about.\n\nSo we are numb and don\'t respond too well to columns such as this one, David.  We are distracted and filled with anxiety about the fate of Israel.  \n\nThis miracle at the playground is of course one of many.  Israelis\' lives are full of big and little miracles.  There\'s indeed so much to be grateful for.  And we are happy and thankful that those moms and babies escaped injury.");
