I\'ve been trying to tell people here that G*d has either removed His hand from us or we are deservingly under His judgement.  Too many times have things happened in America as American leaders have pandered to those who hate Israel.  Look at Katrina- how many people in New Orleans being removed and having to leave their homes at the same time that Jewish people had to leave their homes in Gaza!  What I fear is talk of dividing Jerusalem and all the desecrations on the part of Muslims on Holy sites in Israel.  It makes me angry that people are still beleiving in \"peace\" for land.  They will not be content until there is no Israel left and no Jews left to inhabit it.  We are suffering what we deserve.  All the years of supporting Jews the land prospered and we had decent leaders.  Once we started mucking around with Israel land given by G*D Himself- we have been declining and suffering all kinds of disasters.  I believe with all my heart what G8D told Abraham- I will bless those that bless you, and curse those who curse thee.  We have seen it efore and will again with which ever country that curses Israel and her people.  Oh I wish I could visit Israel some day.  G*d Bless~");

AddReply(345040,"US, Israel, Oslo & Theories","Larry","TA","09/21/08","There definitely was a background to Oslo. The US pressured Israel since the day after the Six Day War to return to something close to the armistice lines. Still, it was not to create a second \'Palestinian\' state but simply to appease the Arab world. What changed between 1967 and 1988/89 was that Jordan was finally persuaded, largely by the success of \'Palestinian\' propaganda, some of which was directed by non-Arabs, that it wasn\'t worth it anymore. If the straight \'New World Order\' theories were so clearly provable, then the US and the \'elites\' would have backed Jordan down years earlier and simply created the Road Map. The problem too is that Peres and Rabin did invite Arafat and his militia/terror organization(s) back into the Land of Israel. It does not appear that this was on orders from D.C. Of course Peres in particular has been up to his neck in slithery shenanigans since sixth grade or so, but the oft-suggested belief that Peres is the agent of the New World Order doesn\'t quite hold up either. After all, Shimmy P has always preferred the French to the US, certainly in those days. He doesn\'t like America traditionally, he always went with Europe, and the French did not have the power to \'tell\' Israel to bring Yasir \'home.\'\n\nLet\'s face it, Rabin decided, in his own way and with his own set of strengths and limitations, that he was the guardian of Israel, and that this risk, terrible as it was, was worth taking. And this grew also out of the arrogant self-belief of the Labor-Ashkenazi elites that the Arabs were but children who could be bribed and tempted into coexistence. These were presumptions of secular post-Judaists who, unlike many religious Jews, could not begin to understand the Arab commitment to Islam, and did not care. They had the IDF, they believed they had American support, they \'misunderestimated\' State\'s ability to grab a rag doll like Israel\'s strategic failure and shake it over and over until the doll understood its role (of course, this assumes an animated doll that decides it will trust the rambunctious pooch/big mistake).\n\nWhere Steve\'s comments on Bush really are relevant are in showing that Bush, like Clinton, draped himself over Oslo for different reasons. Clinton\'s reasons of course were the realization of moral relativism, at Israel\'s expense. Bush had the Saudi threats and the Saudi attachments, and obvious input from the State Dept and CIA types who eagerly told him that \'Israel causes or inspires Islamism.\'\n\nDaniel\'s thesis is brave and very Zionist in the sense that it takes responsibility, fully. To me it\'s actually a bit of overkill and masochism. Israel made a mistake; Israeli leaders, and Israelis have been paying ever since. All of those posting to the J Post and to this site and others constantly demand Israelis take action, and of course they are right, but few people would have predicted Rabin would have allowed Peres and Beilin to sell out basic interests. Netanyahu would have been PM had the public begun to guess at this. \n\nWe are where we are. Had that ship sunk, Israel would be blamed and defamed for it, EVEN MORE!\n\nThe US, probably since Lincoln, has been the velvet gloved puppet of anti-semites. Realistically, probably no other country in History has been used to shape the world as we now know it, disguised behind acts of \"charity\", slogans of \"Democracy\", \"Peace\" etc. and yet, just look at the world\'s political geographics. Only two conclusions can be drawn:\n \n(1) The US, in it\'s unintelligent, short-sighted endeavors, failed miserably in its bids to promote freedom and Democracy.\n\nor\n\n(2) the globalist have known exactly what they were doing to enslave the world, slowly, slowly, bit by bit, using the US as a gloved hammer, with a softened blow, to HELP shape the world into what is has become today.\n\nI believe the latter point is exactly what happened to Israel. It wasn\'t the US that blocked this - it was Ehud Barak, who explained that US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel\'s capital would endanger his relationship with his friend, the mass-murderer Yasser Arafat (y\"sh). So to bolster the terrorists of El Fatah, Israeli governments ever since then have prevented the US from recognising Jerusalem as Israel\'s capital.\n\nIn short, the US has generally supported whatever policies Israeli governments have pursued.
