It already IS controlled by Jew-hating attitudes as it always has been.   The US state dept documented antisemites, several former presidents documented/admitted antisemites, not to mention jimmy carter, but the us overall policy is \'make Israel a dhimmi state subservient to the arabs in a \"new middle east\" where jewish identity in the holy land will cease to exist although \'humiliated jews\' might persist as an example.\'  Did you think peres wrote all that stuff by himself, thought it all up in a dream? The former comes from the American National Election Study, the foremost data source for election-related attitudes in the world.  The latter comes from my spending about 30 minutes with these data, trying to get some sense of attitudes.  However, my 30 minutes count for a lot because I know what I\'m doing with these data.\n\nSo, you can find out as much about the data as you can about any data in the world.  My own analyses are presented very clearly on my blog.  I deliberately kept things simple.\n\nNo subset of the US at the state level or below will have the N necessary for analysis of that subset alone.  The point is not that one cannot find Joo-haters.  ABSOLUTELY one can.  They will likely be found in particular areas as well.  The point, instead, is that the kind of widespread Jew-hatred that people like Shifra claim just isn\'t supported by the data.  Now, given this, it is hard to believe that the levers of government could be controlled by such Jew-hating attitudes anytime soon.\n\nThere.  I hope I haven\'t been a wise guy this time around.");

Anyway, I\'m not saying it\'s a particularly good \"study\": I just downloaded the American National Election Study for recent year (free download for us academics) and did some frequencies and crosstabs.\n\nAs I say on my blog, I didn\'t take a multivariate approach, attempting to tease out what causes what. What I can say is that atttitudes toward Jews just don\'t stand out from those of other racial and religious groups (too bad attitudes toward Muslims weren\'t assessed). Moreover, I included atttitudes toward gays for a comparison, and you can see how THAT sticks out.\n\nBTW, attitudes toward gays is way positive compared to what they were 10 years ago.\n\nShifra, however, in addition to her poor grammar and CAPITALIZATION, has not a bit of evidence.
