The real Jews.  \n\nOtherwise you wouldn\'t see the government making such an effort to keep weapons out of the reach of so many Jews, and taking measures aimed at crushing the spirit of those who still care for the land - even if they are only twelve-year-old girls!\n\nThe government is afraid of the Jews.  The government and its masters KNOW that those Jews have great potential to unravel their plans.  \n\nJews have clout.  They have a lot of potential to take charge and turn Israel into what it was meant to be, instead of the distorted image of a country cowering under the influence of foreign powers and the criminals within.\n\nWe only get bits and pieces of the news in Israel but out of them emerges a picture of an IDF afraid to confront Arab aggression while turning against unarmed Jews.\n\nRecent example:\n\nJew was \"attacked by dozens of Arabs who pelted his car with rocks and then attempted to extract him from the car to lynch him. Panic-stricken, he ran to a group of IDF soldiers standing nearby who refused to do anything. Desperate for the soldiers to do their job, he gave up trying to convince them, took the weapon of one of the soldiers, fired in the air and then gave it back.\"  For this he was arrested.  \n\nAnd this:\n\n\"...special police forces conducted a raid on the outpost of Adei Ad, near Shiloh in Samaria, and carted away a bus that was being used as living quarters.\"\n\n http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/126958\n\nThose are the actions of a government that not only fails to protect its citizens, but it turns against them and is actively trying to break their spirit.  \n\nJews HAVE a lot of power.  Their enemies - the government among them - know it.  It\'s only that some Jews still need to be convinced of it. And then to go ahead and use that power.\n");

Would Judaism approve of the abdication of personal and collective responsibility by believing that G-d will look after Israel no matter how much damage the government and others are doing to the country? \"\n\nNO.  This would be a grave sin.   Some refer to this as \"relying on miracles.\"  It\'s not allowed.\n--- \"Hashem will do it for us\" - an anti-Jewish theme.     Unfortunately one which has crept into Jewish thought thanks to the corrupting influence of the galut (exile).  There is a belief that the exile can corrupt our Torah understanding.   I believe this is certainly one of those cases afflicting our people after 2000 years worth of pain and suffering and negative influence outside our land.  This is probably one of the foremost areas affected/corrupted by galut.\n\nSo in short, NO NO and NO.   We have personal responsibilities in Judaism.   Individual, familial, and national responsibilities.   These cannot be abdicated, a living Jew can\'t be cut off from the world or from physical reality and still be doing his job.  And we are here to do our jobs.   ");
AddReply(327200,"Michelle # 21, in Vacouver","Levi","Tel-al-evr-wher","07/24/08","Dear Michelle, that is a very good question. Here is my opinion (and ya know its gotta be right... ha!)\n\nThere is no such thing as \"passivity\" in Judaism. However one should spend much time in \"ceasing\" on Shabbats and time in prayer. The lack of physical motion is not equal to \"passivity\".\n\nThen, there is the fact that one\'s reality is as varied as each individual. For instance, a four yr old girl\'s \"reality\" is not the same as an 80 yr. man\'s \"reality\". And so on, and so forth. It is impossible for anyone to share another\'s \"reality\".\n\nMeaning much truth applies to us all generally, but on the other hand, what one can do, sometimes, others cannot. For example, Invalids cannot do what athletes can. The down syndrom usually don\'t become college professors. A rich man\'s reality is not a poor man\'s reality. A prisoner\'s is not the same as the free, etc. Thus, each person\'s \"reality\" varies.\n\nThe reality of Judaism is that within the boundaries of the \"Teachings and Instructions\" from HaShem to us, via Moses and the other TANAKH writers - you have to determine for yourself - what you can and cannot do. And what you should, and should not do. \n\nIn Judaism are teachings specifically for men, and exclusively for women. What has this got to do with you?\n\nNo human can dictate your religion to you, and no human can be your mediator before HaShem. \n\nWhich means, you must get your \"marching orders\" from Him, out of the TANAKH, and by prayer, along with input from your husband (if you\'re married etc, etc.). If you are \"passive\" in that area, that is where your real problem lies. \n\nSo, I say, lets do as much as we can, to do what\'s right. And, contrary to Christian teaching, lets do as much as we can for the \"righteous needy\" as we can. \n\nJudaism is about wisdom, avoiding evil, and those who are evil, and separating ourselves unto HaShem. \n\nI\'m sure you will play a valuable part in the days ahead, by learning who to avoid, who to help, who to save, and distinguishing between those out of your reach. \n\nBut in the end, it all comes down to your personal relationship with HaShem. Nobody can do that for you. He is the only one that has your true \"marching orders\".\n\nThere is no such thing as \"passivity\" by \"simply trusting in God\". But don\'t confuse that with with physical inactivity.\n\nBlessings upon you! \n\n");

So if you are saying a gun is our best protection against the \'New World Order\'; well, Tamar, if the \'NWO\' is as powerful as you say, it won\'t help. Maybe you worry a bit too much about these things...");

How much money? Especially if money becomes obsolete? \n\nIn other words, we may be on the prophecied brink of a time so horrible - no one can imagine, or prepare adequately for it. A potential period like this requires more than guns, bullets, clothes, food, and comrades. \n\nPerhaps miracles, obedience to Torah, and a relationship with HaShem is our best answer to the coming world storm?\n\nPersonally, I think the thing to do is to explore ALL possibilities for survival. Perhaps the worst thing we can do is close a blind eye (head in sand) approach. \n\nAmericans should be taking advantage of Good Will stores, etc. for clothing, shoes, and misc. Ramen noodles make good cheap survival food.  Clothing surpluses can be given to the needy should they prove unnecessary. \n\nThe TANAKH says much about our time, but, are there any ears to hear?\n\nParents look after your children - children look after your parents. In the meantime... perhaps we should all look to HaShem?\n\nBless you, Tamar Y.");
